Historical background
*
Mariavites exist in France since 1912 , initially mainly established in the west of France. The war of 1939-1945 will make
almost disparaitre any activity. In addition, after 1945, the communist mode installed in Poland, will prohibit with our Church
in Poland any contact with "the foreigner".

In 1972, the Chapelle Sainte-Marie was founded in Paris and its clergy resulting
from the succession Mariavite, Mgr André le BEC was ordered priest on November4, 1964 and bishop on October 21, 1979.

October 1, 1993, the episcopal ordination of Mgr André le BEC was confirmed by the Mariavites Bishops.

Since 1980-1983, the links were joined again in spite of the state of war which
reigned in Poland (disorders of 1980 to1987, proclamation of the state of war of
the 13-12-1981 to the 31-12-1982) to lead the 16-12-1988 to an official and
canonical recognition.

April 8, 1992, the oecumenical BSS n° 787:Bulletin of information common to the Churches catholic, Protestant and orthodoxe, published the content of a letter of Mgr Stanislaw M.Tymoteusz KOWALSKI, Bishop-Primacy of the Old-Catholic Mariavite Church on 18-02-1992 informing that, in the Province of France of the Old-Catholic Mariavite Church, the episcopal jurisdiction is exclusively  in the hands of Mgr André le BEC..

As of the beginnings, the Chapelle Sainte Marie of the 7 rue Aubriot in Paris 4th, was too small, taking into account the number of the faithful ones. It is only into 1997 that we could acquire the building of an old school to the 47 rue de l'Echiquier in Paris 10th.

The Dedication of the new Church took place on 27 September 1998, by Mgr Zdzizlaw Maria Wlodzimierz JAWORSKI, Bishop-Primacy, assisted of Mgr Antoni Maria Roman NOWAK, of Mgr Michal Maria Ludwik JABLONSKI and Mgr Marie André le BEC, surrounded of Fathers LUKAS, WIESLAW and GRZECO and of the Father Bernard VIGNOT,
Priest Old Catholic of the Union of Utrecht.

Our Parisian Parish takes place in 2 sites of worship :
