  • the homèlie of Métropolite Sawa,
  • the homélie of Mgr André le Bec

  • Here the text of the homélie of Mgr le Bec:
    Mgr Bishop-Primacy,
    Mgr Métropolite,
Mgr the Bishop of the diocese of Plock,
    Dear Brothers Bischops and Priests,
    Dear Brothers and Sisters,

First of all, by transmitting to you the regards of our Community Mariavite de France, I would like to tell you the major joy which I feel and which live me, with being with you, together.

Joy of finding, joy of dividing, Priests and Bishops who received jointly the mission of meaning the place of Christ, Shepherd of the Church.

That this celebration and this day lived together, constitute for us all a real event of grace.
Joined together in this Sanctuary of the Mercy and the Love, wanted by our Mother, the Blessed Marie-Francoise, we can still hear as in echo her message: "Make known the Love and the Mercy which the Lord spreads on all humanity".

You will have noticed it, the Mariavites Priests carry on the chest, on the scapular, a monstrance - but noticed that in the center of the monstrance in the host, there is a Heart, injured, crowned spines with some drops of blood, expressing in an expressive way the wounds of Passion, the wounds of the Heart, source from where the Mercy and the Love spout out. We point out St Jean 7.38 - "WATER RUNNING rivers will spout out of its Heart".
In this monstrance, related to our heart, we in short have all the Message of the Mercy of the Heart of Jesus, this Message of Love, Gift of God to the Church and humanity.

Today, we celebrate Marie in her Glory - She, the Painful Mother who received in her arms the body without life of her Son, now accomodated here by Him in the Sky, receiving from Him his own Life and sharing his Triumph.

I will conclude by a prayer extracted from the Idiomèles sung during the procession of the Great Vespers in the Greek Liturgy for the feast of the Assumption :

"That which is higher than the Skies, which is more glorious than Chérubins and more invaluable than any creature, That which became the receptacle of the Eternal essence, gives in this day her very Blessed Heart to the hands of her Son.

Come, Blessing the Venerable Assumption of the Mother of God, She who gave her Heart without stain in the hands of her Son, this is why the World is vivified by her Holy Dormition - Sing people, the Mother of God, sing it - She does not stop interceding to Him so that Peace and a great Pity are granted to the Universe".

and in Apolytikion of the Feast of the Assumption:

"In your maternity, you kept Virginity, at the time of your Dormition, you did not abandoned the World,Theotokos, Ô Mère of God, you were transferred to the Life, You who are the Mother of the Life and which by your intercession, deliver our Hearts of Death".

Ô Clemens, Ô Pia, Ô Dulcis Virgo Maria, Ô Clemente, Ô Aimante, Ô Douce Vierge Marie.
